{"id":26031,"date":"2022-01-05T09:09:02","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T12:09:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=26031"},"modified":"2026-04-23T12:31:58","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T15:31:58","slug":"donaco-announces-settlement-of-loan-facility-with-mega-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/donaco-announces-settlement-of-loan-facility-with-mega-bank","title":{"rendered":"Donaco announces settlement of loan facility with Mega Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Donaco has confirmed it has fully repaid the borrowed amount of US$120m with its creditor Mega International Commercial Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.-&nbsp;<strong>Donaco International&nbsp;<\/strong>has confirmed through a statement the settlement of the loan facility with its main lender Mega International Commercial Bank Co Ltd, known as Mega Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said it has fully repaid the initially borrowed amount of AU$131.54m (US$100m) stipulated in 2015, re-drawn AU$26.31m (US$20m) in 2016 and refinanced AU$74.98m (US$57m) in 2017 (equivalent to a total of US$120m borrowings).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statement, the final instalment of US$1.8m was paid in December 2021.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donaco also stated that there is no more outstanding loan balance owed to its lender Mega Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the statement, the company said it &#8220;continues to preserve a robust balance sheet and maintain prudent cost control as it awaits for the Covid-19 pandemic to ameliorate in Vietnam and Cambodia.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last October,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/donaco-posts-revenue-of-7-6m-for-q3\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Donaco<\/a>&nbsp;reported revenue of $7.6m and a negative EBITDA of $0.3m for the third quarter of the year 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the third quarter of the last year,\u00a0<strong>casino revenue was AU$50,000\u00a0<\/strong>while in the previous quarter it had reached AU$130,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/donaco-net-revenue-declines-to-au10-32m-in-fy21\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Donaco International<\/a>&nbsp;also reported that net revenue for the fiscal year 2021 was down 80.7 per cent from AU$10.32m to AU$53.49m.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Negative group earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (<strong>EBITDA) was AU$70,000 (US$52,274).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Donaco has confirmed it has fully repaid the borrowed amount of US$120m with its creditor Mega International Commercial Bank.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":19768,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Donaco International has confirmed the full repayment of its US$120m loan facility to Mega International Commercial Bank, with the final instalment settled in December 2021.
