Kangwon Land Inc has decided to continue operating at reduced hours until at least January 16 to avoid a rise in Covid-19 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- The South Korean casino\u00a0Kangwon Land\u00a0<\/strong>has told GGRAsia that its gaming venue will continue operating at reduced hours from 10am to 10pm every day until January 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kangwon Land<\/a>\u00a0introduced the restricted hours on December 18, 2021, amid a new rise in Covid-19 cases due to the Omicron variant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measure was supposed to be in place until January 2 but the casino operator decided to extend the restriction while authorities did the same with the social distancing rules imposed last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only people who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19<\/a> will be allowed to enter. People will need to show a vaccine pass as proof.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kangwon Land launches ban mechanism for problem gamblers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kangwon Land<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has been providing a 10-day emergency ban mechanism for problem gamblers from January 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family members will be able to request the ban by email or fax both for foreign players or Korean citizens. A 10-day entry restriction will be activated “immediately” when a request is made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To activate a longer ban<\/strong>, family members must submit certain supporting documents or visit in person during the temporary ban to explain the need for a longer-term exclusion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
