Wynn Macau has announced it will pay a special allowance, equivalent to one month\u2019s salary, to 97.8 per cent of its 12,000 employees. SJM will also provide an “annual living subsidy” to eligible employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- After a though year signed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Macau’s main casino operators have decided to award their employees for their collective efforts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a statement, Wynn Macau announced it will pay, on January 28, a “special allowance” equivalent to one month\u2019s gross salary to all eligible Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of benefited employees represents 97.8 per cent of the company\u2019s 12,000-strong workforce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The casino operator stated: “With the exceptional level of loyalty, commitment and discipline demonstrated by all Wynn team members<\/strong>, the company has been able to ensure the continuity and enhancement of its renowned service culture and hospitality standards, and helped to protect the health of all colleagues and Wynn guests.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wynn Macau Ltd<\/a> <\/strong>also revealed it has reached a 94.2 per cent vaccination rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SJM Resorts SA<\/strong>\u00a0made a similar announcement through a press release where it has revealed it will provide an “annual living subsidy” to eligible employees amounting to 2 months or 1.5 months of salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daisy Ho Chiu Fung<\/a>, chairman of SJM Holdings, said the company wanted to thank the group\u2019s staff for their tremendous support amid the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company’s statement, the bonus will be paid in two equal payments in January and July respectively. The first payment will be made on 6 January 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few weeks ago, MGM China<\/a> had confirmed that a one-time discretionary allowance was going to be paid to eligible non-management team members. According to the company\u2019s statement, 95 per cent of staff were eligible for the reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pansy Ho<\/strong>, MGM China Holdings Limited co-chairperson, said: “2021 was another year of adapting to changes, still our Golden Lion team strive their best to ride out of the storm.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Recognising the importance of vaccination in building\u00a0a solid barrier against the virus\u00a0<\/strong>for Macau\u2019s economy recovery, MGM team members actively vaccinated and has brought our staff vaccination rate to 95 per cent.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
