SJM will also provide an &#8220;annual living subsidy&#8221; to eligible employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Macau.- After a though year signed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Macau&#8217;s main casino operators have decided to<strong>&nbsp;award their employees for their collective efforts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through a statement, Wynn Macau announced it will pay, on January 28, a &#8220;special allowance&#8221; equivalent to one month\u2019s gross salary to all eligible Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of benefited employees represents&nbsp;<strong>97.8 per cent of the company\u2019s 12,000-strong workforce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The casino operator stated: &#8220;With the exceptional level of loyalty,&nbsp;<strong>commitment and discipline demonstrated by all Wynn team members<\/strong>, the company has been able to ensure the continuity and enhancement of its renowned service culture and hospitality standards, and helped to protect the health of all colleagues and Wynn guests.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-casino-operators-report-over-90-vaccination-rates\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wynn Macau Ltd<\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>also revealed it has reached a 94.2 per cent vaccination rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SJM Resorts SA<\/strong>\u00a0made a similar announcement through a press release where it has revealed it will provide an &#8220;annual living subsidy&#8221; to eligible employees amounting to 2 months or 1.5 months of salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sjm-holdings-opens-new-luxury-hotel-at-grand-lisboa-palace\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daisy Ho Chiu Fung<\/a>, chairman of SJM Holdings, said the company wanted to thank the group\u2019s staff for their tremendous support amid the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the company&#8217;s statement, the bonus will be paid in two equal payments in January and July respectively. The first payment will be made on 6 January 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few weeks ago,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/mgm-to-pay-one-off-bonus-to-non-management-staff\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MGM China<\/a>&nbsp;had confirmed that a one-time discretionary allowance was going to be paid to eligible non-management team members.
