Analysts at Moody\u2019s Investors Service have downgraded Wynn Resorts Finance LLC\u2019s corporate family rating from Ba3 to B1 while the outlook of the company remains negative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Moody’s Investor Services has\u00a0downgraded the corporate family rating\u00a0<\/strong>of Wynn Resorts Finance LLC from “Ba3” to “B1” and it has downgraded its senior unsecured notes from “B1” to “B2”.\u00a0Analysts said the company’s outlook remains “negative.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rating downgrade reflects Moody’s expectation that the group\u2019s credit structure \u201cwill remain weaker than pre-pandemic levels, because of the slow recovery in earnings amid lingering travel restrictions affecting Wynn\u2019s Macau operations\u201d due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts also predicted\u00a0Wynn’s consolidated earnings will remain under pre-pandemic levels<\/strong>\u00a0through 2022 due to a very gradual recovery in Macau’s GGR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moody’s stated: “This expectation factors in the likely pattern of\u00a0travel resumption<\/a>\u00a0and temporary suspensions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Debt rated “B” is considered speculative and faces high credit risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wynn Macau executive director confirms closure of all VIP rooms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wynn Macau closed all of its VIP rooms\u00a0<\/a>from December 20. Linda Chen, the operator\u2019s executive director told Macao Daily that the company ceased its agreements with third-party VIP gaming promoters companies. Chen noted that the mass market was Wynn\u2019s core business, accounting for 75 per cent of its total gaming performance this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
