Northern Mariana Islands.- The CNMI has granted IPI’s request to extend the suspension on the limited receivership granted to USA Fanter Corp, which sued IPI<\/a>\u00a0for failure to pay the full contract for labour and materials at its property in Garapan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A week ago,\u00a0Imperial Pacific International<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>agreed to provide\u00a0$2.45m in replacement bonds<\/strong>\u00a0as a security for the judgment in the lawsuit. Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona of the District Court for the NMI\u00a0said the district court was satisfied with IPI’s report and approved the stay on the limited receivership until January 31, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She ordered the\u00a0two parties to return to the court on January 14<\/strong>\u00a0for a status meeting. The court issued a notice to deal with the creditors\u2019 motions at a later time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An auction of IPI’s assets was originally to take place\u00a0at the end of this month<\/a>.
