According to Manila Times, 209 of the people arrested were subject to long-term arrest warrants and 36 were on the area&#8217;s most wanted list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police said 182 people were arrested on drugs charges,\u00a0<strong>255 people for illegal gambling<\/strong> and 28 people for violating special laws. During the raids, police seized drugs and betting money amounting to P65,614.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police Regional Office-Region 3 director BGen. Mathew Baccay, said: &#8220;I commend the operating teams for their continuous commitment to account for and arrest these wanted persons and law violators.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A week ago,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-46-arrested-for-illegal-gambling\">police also arrested 46 people<\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>for alleged involvement in<strong>\u00a0illegal gambling activities\u00a0<\/strong>in Quezon City. According to the chief police officer of the Quezon City Police District, three of the suspects were arrested while participating in illegal online gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, 34 people were arrested for taking part in a \u201ctupada\u201d or illegal cockfighting, seven for playing billiards and two for playing cara y cruz (coin flipping). A few weeks ago, Focus Gaming News reported that\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-9-arrested-for-illegal-cockfight-betting\">police had arrested nine people<\/a>\u00a0for alleged involvement in<strong>\u00a0illegal cockfighting betting<\/strong>.
