Macau\u2019s GGR for the second week of December was down 12 per cent week-on-week from MOP260m (US$32.4m) to MOP229m (US$28.5m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.-\u00a0Sanford C. Bernstein Ltd<\/strong>\u00a0has reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the second week of December declined 12 per cent\u00a0when compared to the previous week<\/a>. The average daily rate between December 6 to 12 was MOP229m (US$28.5m). The number of visitors was down 18 per cent due to the end of local tourism festivals and a new outbreak of Covid-19 cases in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Month-to-date GGR was MOP2.9bn (US$362m)<\/strong>, down 67 per cent when compared to pre-pandemic levels but up 7 per cent month-on-month. VIP holdings normalised but following\u00a0Suncity’s closure of VIP rooms<\/a>, the average daily rolling volume dropped by 35 to 40 per cent when compared to the previous month. Mass revenue increased by 15 per cent from November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts at Sanford Bernstein predict that Macau\u2019s GGR for December will be down 68 per cent <\/strong>when compared to December 2019 but up 9 per cent when compared to November, mainly due to an increase in mass table revenue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
