The county council\u2019s vote on the plan is now scheduled to take place in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Nagasaki Prefectural Government took the decision\u00a0<\/strong>after concerns were raised at a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/concerns-raised-over-nagasaki-ir-plans-and-funding\">Prefectural Council meeting<\/a> regarding how its private partner will raise funds to develop the integrated resort. A Nagasaki councillor has questioned whether Casinos Austria International\u2019s estimated cost of capital is sufficient.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, the county said it would soon submit a draft of its regional development plan to the relevant committee of the parliament, but there was no information on the construction of the consortium and fundraising. Authorities said Casinos Austria International has been \u201cgoing all out\u201d in terms of consortium building and fundraising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the Nagasaki Prefectural Government said that without these elements, it would be difficult to continue with the process of developing an Integrated Resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The planned total investment for the IR development is JPY350bn (US$3.2bn) for\u00a0<strong>eight hotels,<\/strong>\u00a0conference and exhibition facilities and a variety of dining and retail options. The Nagasaki Prefectural Government has previously said it expects\u00a0<strong>the IR to open in 2027\u00a0<\/strong>and to generate\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-expects-annual-ggr-of-us1-37bn-from-its-ir\">annual gross gaming revenue<\/a>\u00a0(GGR) of JPY150bn (US$1.37bn).
