Other crimes being investigated include loan shark operations and loan fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of those arrested, 25 men and 3 women, aged between 30 and 77, are under investigation for crimes under the Gaming Act and the Joint Gaming Company Act, the Straits Times has reported. During one of the raids, police seized gambling-related utensils, vaporizers, unpaid cigarettes and at least $950 in cash were seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police are also investigating 20 men and two women for breaching the Covid-19 countermeasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shee Tek Tze, commander of Jurong Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shee<\/strong>, stated: &#8220;The police will take tough enforcement action against those involved in criminal activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A week ago, authorities arrested\u00a0<strong>seven people<\/strong>\u00a0on accusations of illegal gambling following\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-at-least-7-arrested-for-illegal-gambling\">a series of raids in Singapore<\/a>. Another 49 people are under investigation. Officers carried out three riads, the first resulting in seven arrests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-7-arrested-for-illegal-horse-race-betting\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">police arrested seven people<\/a>&nbsp;for alleged gambling activities related to horse race betting.
