Macau.-\u00a0Sands China<\/a> has become the first gaming operator to be recognised by the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index. The index recognises companies’ performance in environmental and social issues and responsible governance practices.\u00a0It’s the first global index to track the largest sustainability-driven listed companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sands China CEO\u00a0Wilfred Wong Ying Wai<\/strong>\u00a0said: “We are therefore very pleased to be recognised by Dow Jones in the DJSI Asia Pacific.\u00a0Our gratitude and congratulations go to our hard-working and dedicated team members for their daily efforts to put our corporate values into practice, making our properties exemplary in our industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The casino operator<\/a> has recently shared its financial results for the third quarter of the year and posted a higher net loss of US$423m.<\/strong> Despite an increase from the previous quarter<\/a>, the figure is an improvement on the US$562m loss recorded a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The casino operator\u2019s revenue for the third quarter declined 28 per cent<\/strong> sequentially to US$611m. However, it was still a 265.9 per cent improvement when compared to the US$167m recorded in 2020.
