Authorities have announced Malaysia will reopen its borders to foreign visitors no later than January 1, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Malaysia.- The government of Malaysia has announced\u00a0it will reopen the country’s borders by January 2022\u00a0<\/strong>as part of an economic recovery programme launched amid the easing of Covid-19 countermeasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muhyiddin Yassin, former Prime Minister<\/strong>, said the country’s tourism industry went through difficult times during the Covid-19 pandemic and its recovery was slow without foreign visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts also noted Resorts World Genting<\/a> is heavily dependant on tourists. The casino venue has recently reopened<\/a> on a limited basis and has said more facilities and offerings will be reopened once interstate travel is allowed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the announcement, authorities noted there will be control measures and people must show a Covid-19 negative test prior to entering the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Health authorities, 75 per cent of Malaysia’s population has been vaccinated against Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore to launch travel bubble with Malaysia from November 29<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the rate of fully vaccinated people continues to rise in Singapore and Malaysia, the countries have decided to launch a travel bubble<\/a> without quarantine from November 29. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a joint statement issued by the countries\u2019 prime ministers, visitors fully vaccinated visitors will be able to enter Singapore quarantine-free via Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
