{"id":24399,"date":"2021-11-10T11:37:39","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T14:37:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=24399"},"modified":"2026-04-23T13:58:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T16:58:07","slug":"philippines-ggr-up-52-for-q3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-ggr-up-52-for-q3","title":{"rendered":"Philippines GGR up 52% for Q3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Philippines\u2019s GGR was up 52 per cent when compared to the previous year, from PHP17.6bn to PHP26.94bn (US$538m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) has reported that&nbsp;<strong>gaming revenue grew by 52 per cent year-on-year to PHP26.94bn (US$538m)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The figure was also up when compared to PHP18.80bn (US$373.0m) registered<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>in the&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-ggr-down-27-for-q2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">second quarter of 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAGCOR reported revenue from licensed casinos was PHP21.7bn, up from PHP16.9bn recorded in the second quarter of the year. Casinos located in the Entertainment City of Metro Manila also registered a growth in GGR from PHP16.6bn to PHP19.36bn quarter-on-quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As regards&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippine-e-sabong-operators-pay-pagcor-us19-9m-in-4-months\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">e-Sabong revenue<\/a>, the regulator reported it had collected PHP1.21bn during the third quarter of the year. Licenced e-sabong (online cockfighting) operators started to operate in the Philippines in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PAGCOR Chairman Andrea Domingo<\/strong>&nbsp;said the maximum number of e-sabong licences would be 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Income from electronic gaming increased to PHP613m, while bingo revenue was PHP1.65bn.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total GGR generated by PAGCOR from January to September stood at PHP77.84bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Casinos in Manila resume operations at 90% capacity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/city-of-dreams-manila-resumes-operations-at-90-capacity\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Casinos in Manila<\/a>&nbsp;are starting to increase their capacity limits after the city\u2019s Covid-19 countermeasure level was reduced to Alert Level 2 until November 21.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;City of Dreams Manila has increased the dining capacities in restaurants and reopened other facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its casino is now&nbsp;<strong>operating at 90 per cent capacity<\/strong>. Vaccination is not necessary for customers. Three players are allowed per table and active slot machines are spaced one seat apart.
