They identified 18 shelf companies, which they said were used for capital transfers.\u00a0The police investigation also identified<strong>\u00a0four &#8220;underground banks&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0and ten travel agencies alegedly providing services to gamblers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/china-announces-new-measures-against-cross-border-gambling\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Cyberspace Administration of China<\/a>&nbsp;announced four new measures to fight cross-border gambling including enhancing precision strikes on overseas gambling groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chinese authorities reported an increase in prosecutions for\u00a0<strong>gambling-related crimes\u00a0<\/strong>in the first half of the year, mainly related to casinos in Macau.
