Police in Hyderabad raided a farmhouse owned by Indian actor Naga Shaurya and found people playing poker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

India.- Officers in Hyderabad have arrested\u00a025 people for allegedly gambling\u00a0<\/strong>at a farmhouse on the outskirts of the city. According to Times of India, the raid took place at a farmhouse owned by the\u00a0famous Indian actor Naga Shaurya<\/strong>. People were found playing poker in the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the raid,\u00a0police seized cellphones in order to investigate whether Shaurya was involved in the illegal gambling. He has denied involvement. Police officers signalled a man called Gutta Suman as a key person possibly behind the illegal activities at various farmhouses on the outskirts of Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An investigation is underway and Shaurya’s uncle is being questioned since he was managing the farmhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days ago, police carried out a raid and arrested nine people in Tamil Nadu\u2019s Kallakurichi<\/strong>. According to The Indian Express, those arrested were making illegal bets through an app called 1X Bet<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers said one of the men had contacted the owner of the app, who is reportedly in Russia, and offered to provide new customers in exchange for a commission. The rest of the people were employees who started to work eight months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police also arrested 11 people in two raids<\/a> in the Patrapur area in Ganjam district where two illegal gambling dens were operating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, one of the raids ended with six people arrested <\/strong>for illegal gambling. During the bust, police seized a total of Rs18,260. In the second raid, five gamblers were arrested<\/strong> and Rs9,300 was seized.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
