Frances Mafna has stepped down after six years in the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Northern Mariana Islands.- Redie Dela Cruz, Imperial Pacific International’s human resources director<\/strong>, has revealed\u00a0that Frances Mafna<\/strong>, IPI’s treasury director, has resigned leaving the company with only 49 active employees. Dela Cruz made the announcement at the Commonwealth Casino Commission’s monthly meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said\u00a0Mafna <\/strong>was going to step down on October 25 but the company agreed to a transition <\/strong>period. She will stay with IPI for at least one more week to complete the company’s 2021 audit. Mafna worked for IPI for six years and said she was resigning to have some time free.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asked how the company is continuing to pay its remaining active employees on time following the suspension of its gaming licence<\/a>, she said funding was coming from IPI\u2019s parent company in Hong Kong using a local bank for payroll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Yeom<\/a>, CCC\u2019s executive director, has called for\u00a0Imperial Pacific International\u2019s (IPI)\u00a0<\/strong>gaming licence to be permanently revoked. He said\u00a0IPI failed to comply with CCC\u2019s final order<\/strong>\u00a0in four enforcement actions that were entered over five months ago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
