According to The Indian Express, those arrested were making illegal bets through an app called 1X Bet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers said one of the men had contacted the owner of the app, who is reportedly in Russia, and offered to provide new customers in exchange for a commission. The rest of the people were employees who started to work eight months ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those arrested are aged 27. During the raid, police seized money, laptops, monitors, fingerprint scanners, 30 mobile phones, 400 SIM cards, a car and a motorbike. Police said those involved in the operation had programmed the application in such a manner that they could choose the winner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few weeks ago,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/india-police-raid-2-illegal-gambling-dens-in-patrapur\">police arrested 11 people in two raids<\/a>&nbsp;in the Patrapur area in Ganjam district where two illegal gambling dens were operating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to police,<strong>&nbsp;one of the raids ended with six people arrested&nbsp;<\/strong>for illegal gambling. During the bust, police seized a total of Rs18,260.
