Crown Melbourne has announced that it has been allowed to reopen its casino floor from October 30 on a limited basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Australia.- A week after the state of\u00a0Victoria eased Covid-19 restrictions<\/a>,\u00a0Crown Melbourne has announced it will reopen its main casino floor\u00a0<\/strong>along with restaurants, bars and entertainment venues with capacity restrictions in place. The casino floor will reopen on October 30\u00a0<\/strong>while selected restaurants and bars, entertainment venues and hotels have reopened their doors today (Friday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the casino operator’s website, customers will have to show official proof of vaccination or a medical contraindication certificate. The Victorian Government requires all staff working at hospitality venues to be fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities eased Covid-19 restrictions<\/strong> after the state reached a 70 per cent full vaccination rate. The 10km travel limit in Melbourne has been removed but travel to regional areas remains prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crown Melbourne to train 1,000 hospitality workers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Crown Melbourne<\/a> has announced that it will provide free, paid hospitality training to 1,000 Victorians together with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Australian Hotels Association (Victoria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The casino operator said the programme aims to help address the skills shortage in the industry <\/strong>and to support its Covid-19 recovery. Once the successful applicants complete the course, candidates will be matched with businesses looking for skilled workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
