The news was announced by\u00a0<strong>tourism minister Thong Khon,\u00a0<\/strong>who said people would be able to stay for five days without needing mandatory hotel quarantine. Casinos in Sihanoukville have been allowed to reopen on a limited basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Khon stated: &#8220;Inbound tourists must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before their arrival to Cambodia.\u00a0They will be required to undergo a rapid test for Covid-19 upon their arrival at the airport, and if the results are negative, they can travel freely in those safe tourism destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-eases-covid-19-restrictions-for-fully-vaccinated-visitors\">Cambodian prime minister<\/a>, Hun Sen has said business travellers and certain professional experts\u00a0<strong>who arrive in Cambodia will need need to undergo a mandatory three-day quarantine\u00a0<\/strong>instead of 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cambodia sets requirements for new and existing casinos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-sets-requirements-for-new-and-existing-casinos\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cambodia\u2019s Prime Minister,<\/a>&nbsp;has set new minimum capital requirements for future and existing casinos. According to local media reports,&nbsp;<strong>Decree No. 166 establishes a minimum capital requirement&nbsp;<\/strong>of KHR800bn (US$200m) for integrated commercial gambling centres and KHR400bn for other gambling venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Existing casinos have been granted a grace period to meet the minimum capital requirements, which will include five stages of 15 years.
