The Philippines.-\u00a0The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR)\u00a0<\/strong>has reported that net income for the third quarter of the year was PHP104.9m (US$2.1m). Gross income from gaming operations reached PHP7.05bn, making an aggregate of PHP22.28bn in the first nine months of the current year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PAGCOR paid out a total of PHP3.94bn in gaming taxes\u00a0<\/strong>and contributions during the third quarter. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n In July,\u00a0PAGCOR<\/a>\u00a0said gaming income for the first half fell by 20 per cent year-on-year<\/strong>\u00a0to PHP14.7bn (US$293.1m). During the first six months, the\u00a0regulator made a profit of PHP79m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although President Duterte\u2019s spokesperson Harry Roque said casino venues will not reopen<\/a> during Manila\u2019s transition to Level 3 of Covid-19 restrictions, some casinos have resumed operations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to local media reports, the casino operators have received authorisation from the Inter-Agency Task Force<\/strong>. City of Dreams Manila said its casino venue is operating at 75 per cent capacity<\/strong> and vaccination is not necessary for customers. It has also increased dining capacities in restaurants and reopened other facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Okada Manila and Solaire Resort and Casino have also resumed operations <\/strong>at 75 per cent capacity.
