Visitors&nbsp;<strong>will only need to show a negative <strong>Covid-19<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>test issued 72 hours before departure<\/strong>&nbsp;and to self-monitor their health for 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news comes after President Duterte\u2019s spokesperson Harry Roque said <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/metro-manila-casinos-likely-to-reopen-from-october-15\">the capital city of Manila<\/a>&nbsp;could ease its&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/metro-manila-casinos-to-remain-closed-until-at-least-october-15\">current Covid-19 countermeasures<\/a>&nbsp;from October 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although he noted the final decision will be taken by the Inter-Agency Task Force, Roque stated: \u201cFor the first time in many many months,&nbsp;<strong>Metro Manila is under moderate risk<\/strong>&nbsp;and that is also a factor to consider in lowering quarantine classification.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If restrictions are lowered to Level 3,&nbsp;<strong>casinos, lottery and betting shops, and other gaming venues&nbsp;<\/strong>would be allowed to reopen at 30 per cent of their venue capacity. Under Level 2, capacity will extend to 50 per cent. Only when the city reaches Level 1 will casinos be able to reopen at full capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Philippines hopes to reach 70% vaccination rate by February 2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-hopes-to-reach-70-vaccination-rate-by-february-2022\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III<\/a>&nbsp;has said he expects the Philippines&nbsp;<strong>to achieve a 70 per cent vaccination rate<\/strong>&nbsp;for Covid-19 by February 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the country is progressing at&nbsp;<strong>an average daily rate of nearly 400,000 vaccinations per day<\/strong>, however, the process has been slow due to delays in the arrival of vaccines. To date<strong>&nbsp;only 12.2 per cent of the Philippines\u2019 population<\/strong>&nbsp;has been fully vaccinated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several&nbsp;<strong>Manila\u2019s IRs have rolled out vaccination programmes<\/strong>&nbsp;in order to get their staff vaccinated.
