The measure covers cinemas, theatres, game consoles and electronic-game rooms and nightclubs, among other venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although<strong>\u00a0casino venues have not been ordered to close their gaming floors,<\/strong>\u00a0resorts must shut down their spas, gymnasiums, lounges and bars. It is still unknown how long the measure will last or whether it could be extended to gaming floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Macau faces new Covid-19 cases in October Golden Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-faces-new-covid-19-cases-in-october-golden-week\">Authorities<\/a>\u00a0have revealed<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>that\u00a0<strong>only 3,122 visitors\u00a0<\/strong>arrived in Macau during\u00a0<strong>the first two days of the national Golden Week<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>holiday<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 down 92 per cent compared with last year \u2013  following the appearance of\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-october-golden-week-at-risk-amid-local-covid-19-cases\">new local cases of Covid-19<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The local outbreak looks set to have a deep impact on the highly anticipated holiday period, with GGRAsia reporting that as of Thursday&nbsp;<strong>just five out of 25 resorts in Macau had sold out<\/strong>&nbsp;for around four evenings.
