Casinos Austria International Japan Inc has said it hopes to create 30,000 jobs and to generate US$2.9bn for the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- New details have emerged regarding\u00a0Casinos Austria International Japan Inc<\/a>\u00a0plans for the development of an integrated resort in Nagasaki. The company says the resort would feature 220 gaming tables and 2,200 slot machines<\/strong>. It would create nearly 30,000 jobs and attract up to 8.4 million visitors a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planned total investment for the IR development is JPY350bn (US$3.2bn). The group plans to build eight hotels,<\/strong>\u00a0conference and exhibition facilities and a variety of dining and retail options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said: “We will construct an IR appealing to all with Casinos Austria International\u2019s full support and safety and security as the top priorities.\u00a0We will come together with Nagasaki prefecture and Kyushu\u2019s corporations to create an area development plan in order to gain approval for Kyushu\/Nagasaki as an IR area.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nagasaki Prefectural Government has previously said it expects\u00a0the IR to open in 2027\u00a0<\/strong>and to generate\u00a0annual gross gaming revenue<\/a>\u00a0(GGR) of JPY150bn (US$1.37bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japan opens an application period for IR Submissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Japan\u2019s bicameral legislature<\/a>\u00a0has opened the application window for applications for a planned three integrated resort licences. Those cities and prefectures interested in developing an Integrated Resort will have until April 28 2022 to submit their final project proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities will allow up to three licences<\/a>, and there are currently only\u00a0three cities expected to bid for them:\u00a0<\/strong>Nagasaki, Osaka and Wakayama. All three could be chosen; however, it is possible that the public authority picks only one or two, or even none.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
