Authorities have allowed casinos to resume operations following the closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic almost a year and a half ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Nepal.-\u00a0Casino venues<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0been allowed to resume operations in Nepal around 18 months <\/strong>after being ordered to close due to the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surya Bahadur Kunwar<\/strong>, Nepal Independent Hotel, Casino and Restaurant Workers\u2019 Union Central Committee president, said that\u00a0more than half a dozen casinos have reopened\u00a0<\/strong>and others are gradually returning to operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taranath Adhikari, a Tourism Ministry spokesperson<\/strong>, also confirmed casinos had been allowed to return to activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All\u00a0gambling venues in Nepal had been shut since March 24, 2020<\/a>, when authorities imposed a lockdown due to Covid-19. On September 23, the Nepal government rejected a seven-day quarantine prerequisite for all arrivals from abroad and continued giving visas on arrival to foreign visitors who have been vaccinated.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
