Melco Resorts and MGM China have highlighted recent ecological initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.-\u00a0Two Macau casino operators\u00a0<\/strong>have individually highlighted their work to\u00a0incorporate environmentally beneficial initiatives<\/strong>\u00a0into their everyday operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd\u00a0<\/strong>said it had cut the amount of wasted food in employee restaurants by “up to 35 per cent”. The project began in 2020, and the firm is looking at expanding it to customer eating areas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, MGM China Holdings Ltd\u00a0<\/strong>has said it has “completely adopted” the concept of natural gas as a force hotspot for its Macau venues in accordance with Macau’s green strategies and the country’s double carbon objectives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MGM China<\/a> hopes that by 2022 MGM Macau would be “the first integrated resort on Macau peninsula to switch to natural gas”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau announces the return of \u201cStay, Dine and See\u201d initiative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a bid to boost\u00a0domestic tourism<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has resumed its \u201cStay, Dine and See Macao\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheme lets Macau residents book government-subsidised staycations at hotels and guest houses<\/strong>. It was temporarily halted after local cases of Covid-19<\/a> were detected in Macau. It will now remain in place until the end of December with 13 adjusted itineraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the MGTO, between April 15 to July 31, nearly 32,961 people signed up <\/strong>and 17,492 hotel packages were sold through the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the outbreak of local Covid-19 cases, Macau carried out mass testing for Covid-19<\/a>, in which 716,251 people were tested<\/strong>, all of them returning negative results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
