It also took advantage of its relationship with banks to carry out <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/austrac-to-join-forces-with-local-banks-over-casino-investigations\">deeper investigations<\/a> into\u00a0<strong>the casino sector<\/strong>&#8216;s potential non-compliance with AML rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Casino Guardian, analysts now believe that <strong>a tightening of controls could lead to a drop in casino revenue<\/strong>. Companies could be forced to invest more money in compliance initiatives and to stop offering products and services considered harmful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experts also noted that the Australian government could announce stricter\u00a0<strong>measures aimed at addressing problem gambling problems.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, <strong>Fitch Ratings<\/strong> believes that changes in gambling regulation in Australia aren&#8217;t the only risk. They note that limitations on the movement of funds, the Covid-19 pandemic and strained relations with China could also harm revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casinos remain affected by the lack of tourists. The state is also testing a \u201chome quarantine\u201d programme.
