According to The Star, police also seized RM8,514 of cash, two wooden tables, nine plastic chairs, 66 chips, 52 poker cards and four dice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those arrested were placed under remand while police classified the case under the&nbsp;<strong>Common Gaming Houses Act 1953<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/malaysia-118-arrested-for-illegal-online-gambling\">police in Johor<\/a>\u00a0arrested 118 people in two weeks for illegal online gambling. Officers carried out\u00a0<strong>90 raids<\/strong>, arresting premises 99 caretakers and 19 players.
