Almost 45 per cent of Metro Manila inhabitants have now been vaccinated against Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government now says that&nbsp;<strong>Metro Manila will maintain a higher restriction level until September 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases will start to test a &#8220;four-level&#8221; system under <strong>\u201cgranular\u201d lockdowns<\/strong>, specifically targeting areas of outbreaks rather than putting the entire province under restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roque said that the inter-agency working group will also consult with local government departments in Metro Manila before finalising the guidelines for the implementation of a partial lockdown in the area.\u00a0According to the Philippine News Agency,<strong>\u00a0the pilot test will be evaluated every two weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under MECQ,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/manila-eases-restrictions-but-casinos-remain-closed\">casinos in the Entertainment City zone<\/a>\u00a0remained closed.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities have decided Manila will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until at least September 15.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":17538,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Manila will remain under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) until September 15, preventing casinos in Entertainment City from reopening.
