It is also<strong>\u00a0looking for another contractor<\/strong>\u00a0for outdoor engineering and landscaping works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Igor Trofimov<\/strong>, executive director of the Primorsky Territory Development Corporation, the company responsible for overseeing the Primorye Gambling Zone in Russia, said: &#8220;The new general contractor has already begun preparations for the start of construction and installation work and<strong>\u00a0is expected to start the main work this week<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The contractor plans to carry out construction in the winter. The next stage of work will be completed next year.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February, the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/primorye-to-expedite-permits-for-nagacorps-russian-casino-resort\">director of the territory\u2019s tourism department<\/a>, Konstantin Shestakov, said the government wanted to see progress and added it was going to push through permits for foreign workers to help the company resume the construction.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date,&nbsp;<strong>the company has invested a total of US$84m for the development&nbsp;<\/strong>of the so-called Naga Vladivostok first phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vladivostok venue is expected to\u00a0<strong>include a multi-purpose facility measuring 21,500 square feet<\/strong>. The second phase of the project will include a water park and outdoor pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New casino and entertainment complex announced in Primorye<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Primorsky Krai Development Corporation JSC, has revealed that<strong>&nbsp;a \u201cmajor Russian investor\u201d will invest nearly US$142m to develop a new casino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unnamed company has acquired&nbsp;<strong>14 hectares.&nbsp;<\/strong>It plans to build at least 300 hotel rooms of at least four-star quality and<strong>&nbsp;to host 500 units of gaming equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Olga Sun-zhayu<\/strong>, general director of the development corporation, said: \u201cThe new resident chose one of the best-located sites \u2013 on a hill, practically at the entrance to the gambling zone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first resort in the zone,&nbsp;<strong>Summit Ascent\u2019s Tigre de Cristal, opened to the public in 2015.<\/strong>&nbsp;It was followed almost five years later by&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/russias-shambala-casino-to-open-on-friday\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shambhala<\/a>, which opened at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NagaCorp has announced it has resumed its casino development in the Primorye Gambling Zone in Russia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":18779,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"NagaCorp has recommenced construction on its US$150m Naga Vladivostok casino resort in Russia's Primorye Gambling Zone, engaging a Russian contractor for the initial phase.
