Janette Kendall, a former Galaxy Entertainment director, has been appointed as a non-executive director at Tabcorp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Australia.-\u00a0Tabcorp\u00a0<\/strong>has announced that Janette Kendall has been formally appointed as a non-executive director<\/strong> following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kendall joined the Tabcorp Board initially as an observer last September. She previously worked as\u00a0senior vice president of marketing at Galaxy in China<\/strong> and has served as executive general manager of marketing at\u00a0Crown Resorts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paula Dwyer<\/strong>, Tabcorp Chair, praised Kendall’s experience in the gambling and entertainment industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tabcorp revenue up 8.8 per cent for fiscal Year 2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tabcorp<\/a> has revealed its financial results for the fiscal year 2021<\/strong>, reporting revenue up 8.8 per cent, while EBITDA grew 11.3 per cent year-on-year. Statutory net profit after tax <\/strong>went from a loss of AU$870m in FY20 to a profit of AU$269m in FY21. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lotteries and Keno unit<\/strong> saw digital turnover rise 30 per cent despite below-average jackpots and a resilient performance in retail. The Wagering & Media unit saw revenues of AU$2.3bn<\/strong>, up 10 per cent year-on-year. Digital wagering turnover grew 27 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tabcorp said its\u00a0gaming services unit was affected by Covid-19 restrictions<\/strong>\u00a0and lockdowns, mainly in the state of Victoria, which led to a fall of 17.2 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company<\/a> has recently announced it will roll out an artificial intelligence (AI) programme <\/strong>to predict the results of American Football games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
