From opening on June 11 until June 30, the Jeju Dream Tower casino saw gaming revenue of KRW4.2bn (US$3.6m) while net casino sales stood at KRW3bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.-\u00a0The Jeju Dream Tower casino\u00a0<\/strong>has revealed it achieved\u00a0KRW4.20bn (US$3.6m) in gaming revenue<\/strong>\u00a0between June 11 and June 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VIP segment recorded KRW2.22bn in revenue\u00a0<\/strong>while mass table play reached KRW1.92bn. Revenue from slots and other games was KRW58.6bn. VIP rolling chip volume was KRW18.22bn\u00a0<\/strong>and mass table drop was KRW14.11bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts at\u00a0Hana Financial Investment\u00a0<\/strong>predict net casino sales for the third quarter of the year will reach nearly KRW15bn. Analysts believe daily gaming revenue<\/strong> could soon reach KRW300m\u00a0<\/strong>and that total sales will reach KRW47.0bn during the third quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That depends largely on the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic and measures imposed by the government. Authorities on Jeju Island have tightened social-distancing protocols to “Level 4” until August 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July,\u00a0Lotte Tour Development<\/a>\u00a0announced it will expand its casino staff by two hundred employees in order to\u00a0ensure good casino management.<\/strong> The casino operator said\u00a0it would hire employees in different areas<\/strong>, including for the casino floor, accounting, security, marketing, IT and gift shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jinhee Kim, Lotte Tour Development\u2019s executive vice president of human resources, said: \u201cWith the operation of an additional 850 rooms in the second half of the year<\/strong>, we have decided to secure additional manpower, focusing on local talent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jeju Dream Tower casino has\u00a05,367 square metres (57,770 sq. feet) of gaming floor<\/strong>. It has\u00a0141 game tables<\/strong>\u00a0offering five types of games,\u00a0190 slot machines, <\/strong>and 71 electronic gaming machines.\u00a0<\/strong>It also includes an ETG master table.
