Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings (APE) has shared its financial results for the first half of the year 2021, confirming a 74.6 per cent drop in revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Gaming technology supplier\u00a0Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings (APE)\u00a0<\/strong>has reported revenue of HK$11.8m for H1,\u00a0down 74.6 per cent year-on-year<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drop was mainly due to a\u00a079.6 per cent decline in EGE\u2019s technology sales and distribution<\/strong>\u00a0revenue during the period. However,\u00a0APE says it has a \u201ccautious optimism\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0that the EGE and casino product market will begin to recover in the second half of 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said: \u201cThis view is based on the assumption that\u00a0travel bubble corridors<\/a>\u00a0will open up between China and Macau SAR, which will continue to allow tourists to travel to Macau SAR without quarantine restrictions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

APE to diversify into vending machine operations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

APE has said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the industry,\u00a0it will implement a diversification strategy\u00a0<\/strong>under its SmartCom brand in the Macau Special Administrative Region, launching smart VM operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said it has experience in maintaining, repairing, and operating consumer-related machines\u00a0<\/strong>and that the growing smart vending machine market has potential. It said diversification into smart VM operations\u00a0will help broaden and enhance the group\u2019s overall business<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group revealed\u00a0it has installed three smart VMs in Macau under its SmartCom brand<\/strong>\u00a0and expects more to be rolled out in the second half of 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
