The strategic move is aimed at helping the operator to avoid losing ground to rivals such as Ladbrokes and Sportsbet as players turn to online gambling amid the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>David Beirne<\/strong>, general manager of trading at Tabcorp, said &#8220;artificial intelligence will<strong>\u00a0significantly increase the betting markets<\/strong>\u00a0which sports fans can bet on.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AI tool will\u00a0<strong>run more than 1,000 simulations <\/strong>to predict outcomes for American Football Games. Beirne says that for a single NFL game,\u00a0players will have more than 120 possible outcomes to bet on. The platform be tested on NFL games but\u00a0<strong>could be used for tennis and NBA games in the future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tacorp to support ban on credit cards for online gambling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last month, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tabcorp-to-support-ban-on-credit-card-use-for-online-gambling\">Tabcorp<\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>said it\u00a0<strong>won\u2019t oppose the implementation of a ban on credit cards<\/strong>\u00a0for online gambling in Australia as long as customers could still buy lottery tickets at shops and newsagents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company said the&nbsp;<strong>measure would need at least a year to be implemented&nbsp;<\/strong>to allow the industry time to adapt to the changes.
