Authorities in Malaysia have announced that Covid-19 countermeasures will be eased for those who have been fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Malaysia.- The government of Malaysia has announced that\u00a0certain countermeasures will be eased for fully vaccinated people<\/strong>, including the opening of hair salons, shops selling electrical goods, furniture, sporting equipment and car accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measure will take\u00a0effect today (Monday, August 16). It is not clear if casinos will also be allowed to reopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resorts World Genting<\/a>\u2018s casino has been closed since May. It closed all of its services <\/strong>in June, after Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced a nationwide Covid-19 lockdown.<\/strong> Until then, the resort\u2019s hotels, food and beverage outlets, shopping malls, retail outlets and other facilities remained open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rumours about a possible reopening<\/a>\u00a0of businesses caused Genting Bhd and Genting Malaysia Bhd\u2019s share prices <\/strong>to rise to MYR4.73 and MYR2.82.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
