Gatherings of more than 15 people remain suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-nagaworld-remains-closed-due-to-new-covid-19-restrictions\">NagaWorld<\/a>, the only casino resort authorised to operate in Phnom Penh, suspended operations in March\u00a0after <strong>11 staff members tested positive for Covid-19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-revenue-to-reach-40-of-pre-pandemic-levels-in-2021\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NagaCorp<\/a>, the company that operates the casino, reported that it expects<strong>&nbsp;to recover by 2022&nbsp;<\/strong>as long as NagaWorld resumes operations in the second half of 2021. It said<strong>&nbsp;NagaCorp\u2019s revenue could reach 40 per cent of pre-pandemic levels<\/strong>&nbsp;if NagaWorld reopened in the next few months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NagaCorp announced plans to reduce pay and lay off employees<strong>&nbsp;to improve cost efficiency<\/strong>, which was highly criticised by labour unions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cambodia to reopen borders in November<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-likely-to-reopen-borders-in-november\">The government of Cambodia<\/a>\u00a0has said that it hopes to reopen the country\u2019s borders<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0<strong>November<\/strong>, although some believe the move could be delayed until December or early 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-to-temporarily-close-borders-with-vietnam-amid-covid-19-cases\">Authorities<\/a>\u00a0<strong>suspended entries and exits with Vietnam<\/strong>\u00a0in an attempt to avoid a rise in Covid-19 cases.
