{"id":21401,"date":"2021-08-11T13:36:33","date_gmt":"2021-08-11T16:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=21401"},"modified":"2026-04-23T16:45:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T19:45:25","slug":"agtech-revenues-up-77-6-in-h1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/agtech-revenues-up-77-6-in-h1","title":{"rendered":"AGTech revenues up 77.6% in H1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AGTech Holdings has posted a 77.6 per cent growth in revenue for the first half of 2021 to approximately HK$77.9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Hong Kong.- The lottery service provider <strong>AGTech <\/strong>has reported revenue for the first half of the current year <strong>reached HK$77.9m<\/strong>\u00a0while its operating loss for the six-month period was approximately HK$55m, down 47.9 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said<strong>\u00a0the reduced loss was mainly due to the increase in total revenue <\/strong>and a decrease in employee benefits expenses of approximately HK$15.8m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also noted <strong>growth due to lottery hardware<\/strong>, provision of lottery distribution and ancillary services, non-lottery hardware in PRC, and its games and entertainment business in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PRC lottery sales reached RMB178.4bn<\/strong>\u00a0in the first half, up 44 per cent year-on-year, with RMB67.7bn from the Welfare Lottery, and RMB110.7bn from the Sports Lottery.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first half of 2020,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/agtech-revenues-fall-8-in-h1\">AGTech<\/a>\u00a0reported an 8 per cent drop in revenue to US$5.6m.
