PAGCOR has announced that it has vaccinated 11,473 staff against Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) has announced\u00a0a workforce immunisation rate of 94 per cent<\/strong>. It said 11,473 employees out of 12,176 were vaccinated against Covid-19. The regulator also said it hopes to complete the immunization of 100 per cent of its workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Andrea Domingo<\/strong>, PAGCOR Chairman and CEO, stated: \u201cBy ensuring that our personnel will not suffer severe Covid-19, or worse, death \u2013 we can confidently do our duties as public servants and contribute to nation-building amidst the pandemic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The vaccination program was held at Casino Filipino Manila Bay and several other sites. PAGCOR had the support of the Manila City Government and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A week ago, the\u00a0agency<\/a>\u00a0remitted\u00a0PHP2bn to the National Treasury\u00a0<\/strong>in cash dividends, increasing total cash dividend contributions to PHP5bn. PAGCOR<\/a>\u00a0previously released PHP1.35bn (US$28.3m) on May 28\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0PHP1.6bn<\/a>\u00a0on May 12, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Domingo said: “As the global health crisis drags on, our government needs more resources to help mitigate the pandemic\u2019s impact<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur prudent use of our funds enables us to continuously aid the government in its effort to create measures that will help the country<\/strong> survive this very challenging time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bloomberry Resorts<\/a>\u00a0and Hotels\u2019\u00a0Solaire Resort & Casino\u00a0<\/strong>also announced a week ago it has\u00a0completed its vaccination programme<\/strong>\u00a0for its day-to-day staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
