The Nagasaki Prefectural Government has selected Casinos Austria International as its priority choice as a partner for its IR bid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- Three days after contenders presented their integrated resort plans to the Nagasaki Prefectural Government,\u00a0Casinos Austria International Japan Inc<\/strong>\u00a0has been selected as the priority choice of partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company’s proposal scored 697.0 points<\/strong>, other contenders. Niki Chau Fwu Group received 667.1 points, while Oshidori International Holdings Ltd<\/a>, which had considered withdrawing from the process, received a score of 682.8 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casinos Austria owns 12 casinos in Austria as well as the lottery business Austrian Lotteries.\u00a0Its international division has investments in several casinos and gaming businesses internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nagasaki\u2019s Integrated Resort Promotion Division\u00a0<\/strong>said: \u201cThe request-for-proposal procedure to select the priority negotiation right holder was conducted with fairness and integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said its decision was made “after deliberation between Nagasaki prefecture, Sasebo city, and the Nagasaki Public Safety Commission as stipulated in Article-8 Item-1 of the IR Implementation Law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hodo Nakamura<\/strong>, Nagasaki prefecture\u2019s governor, said: “I sincerely thank all that have taken part in this RFP procedure during a very trying time in the world.\u00a0I would like to express gratitude for the excellent proposals which put on full display the unique features of the operators.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prefecture will\u00a0make a submission to Japan’s national government by 2022\u00a0<\/strong>in its bid for permission to develop an integrated resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japan\u2019s Integrated Resorts Implementation Act<\/strong>, which for an initial three IRs\u00a0<\/strong>was implemented on July 19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Implementation Act<\/a> includes gross gaming revenue (GGR) calculation<\/strong>, internal controls for casino operations and verification of casino employees<\/strong>, among other rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are currently\u00a0four cities expected to bid for the three licences: <\/strong>Nagasaki, Yokohama, Osaka and Wakayama.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
