Niki Chau Fwu Group and Casinos Austria International have presented their IR plans to the Nagasaki Prefectural Government. Oshidori International Holdings has withdrawn from the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- Two of the final three contenders have\u00a0presented their integrated resort plans\u00a0to the Nagasaki Prefectural Government. <\/strong>Niki Chau Fwu Group and Casinos Austria International shared their visions with eight committee members<\/strong>\u00a0and responded to questioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nagasaki is due to\u00a0select its final candidate<\/strong>\u00a0this month.\u00a0The prefecture will make a submission to national government by 2022\u00a0<\/strong>in its bid for permission to develop an integrated resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0successful\u00a0IR partner will have to pay JPY158m (US$1.5m)<\/a>\u00a0for the request for the proposal process and JPY10m (US$92,000) for a background check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oshidori quits IR race<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the contenders,\u00a0Oshidori International Holdings<\/strong>, has pulled out of the bid process arguing that the prefecture\u2019s demands are \u201cunreasonable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said: “The restrictions imposed by Nagasaki Prefecture are unreasonable, and at present, it is not possible to conduct business rationally and effectively.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It added that it was \u201conly interested in participating in a process that has the highest integrity, and that is professional, transparent, and based on merit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July, Niki Chau Fwu Group<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0announced a partnership with Hazama Ando Corp; Okumura Corp; and Tanigawa Kensetsu Co Ltd, three construction firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June, an anti-IR group called\u00a0Stop Casino! Prefectural Citizens Network\u00a0<\/strong>collected 10,416 signatures against the construction of an\u00a0integrated resort<\/a>\u00a0in Nagasaki.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
