Authorities said they would conduct mass testing of the population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It comes after authorities implemented new controls requiring <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-to-resume-covid-19-test-rules-for-mainland-china\">all visitors to Macau<\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>from any mainland Chinese city to hold a negative<strong>\u00a0nucleic acid test certificate<\/strong>\u00a0for Covid-19. According to<strong>\u00a0Alvis Lo Iek Long<\/strong>, Macau\u2019s Health Bureau, the acid test must be<strong>\u00a0issued within 48 hours<\/strong>\u00a0before travel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the rise in Covid-19 cases in the region, Sanford C. Bernstein Ltd. believes Macau casinos will continue to be opened unless there is a widespread outbreak. However, people\u00a0<strong>must wear masks and have their temperature checked\u00a0<\/strong>there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-changes-health-code-requirements-for-chinese-visitors\">The Macau government<\/a>\u00a0previously announced that<strong>\u00a0it will update its health code<\/strong>.
