According to police, the&nbsp;<strong>online gambling ring had collected nearly THB1.5bn (US$45.5m)<\/strong>, running a website through a live streaming link to a casino in Cambodia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few weeks ago, authorities in Thailand&nbsp;<strong>arrested 18 people&nbsp;<\/strong>in raids on two houses in Pathum Thani that were allegedly being used as bases for an&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/thailand-18-arrested-over-online-gambling\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online gambling syndicate<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thailand\u2019s cyber police said the<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>syndicate ran online gambling sites and online football betting. According to local media,&nbsp;<strong>police seized 16 computers, luxury cars and money<\/strong>. Those arrested were also charged for breaching Covid-19 social distancing measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June, officers also raided a house in Northern Thailand and&nbsp;<strong>arrested two men for operating an online gambling website<\/strong>&nbsp;during the&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/thailand-2-arrested-over-illegal-online-gambling-operation\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2020 European Football Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police seized a notebook and desktop computers, 19 bankbooks and 200 grams of marijuana. Those arrested are aged 36 and 22.
