Macau.- Authorities have reported\u00a0that all visitors that come to Macau\u00a0<\/strong>from any mainland Chinese city must hold a negative\u00a0nucleic acid test certificate<\/strong> for Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to\u00a0Alvis Lo Iek Long<\/strong>, Macau\u2019s Health Bureau, the acid test must be\u00a0issued within 48 hours<\/strong> before travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Macau government<\/a> previously announced that it will update its health code<\/strong>. Visitors from mainland China will have to provide new information on vaccination status<\/strong> and whether people have previously contracted Covid-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mainland China<\/strong> continues to be the only country to have a largely quarantine-free travel bubble<\/a> with Macau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government of Macau continues urging all citizens to get vaccinated\u00a0<\/strong>as soon as possible as only 30 per cent of the population has received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities want a vaccination rate of 80 per cent <\/strong>before considering a travel bubble with other regions outside of Mainland China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hong Kong-Macau travel bubble could be launched by September<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The long-awaited travel bubble between Macau and Hong Kong<\/a> could be launched in September, JP Morgan predicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan was delayed this month due to Hong Kong reporting a new case of Covid-19 since June 7. Macau has set a requirement of 28 days with no new cases<\/strong> to launch a travel bubble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Macau authorities are reported to have invited experts from China\u2019s National Health Commission to inspect the situation in Macau <\/strong>and provide opinions on a possible relaxation of travel restrictions with Hong Kong. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
