It hopes to complete vaccinations by the fourth quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The Philippines.- Okada Manila has announced the launch of a free programme to vaccinate all<strong> <\/strong>of its staff against Covid-19 <strong>by the fourth quarter of 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company will work in partnership with AC Health to vaccinate\u00a0<strong>more than 5,700 team members<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Byron Yip<\/strong>, Okada Manila\u2019s president, said: \u201cHaving our team members and their loved ones vaccinated won\u2019t just keep them safer from the threat of Covid-19,<strong>\u00a0this will also give them some peace of mind\u00a0<\/strong>during this unprecedented and unpredictable time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMore vaccinated individuals mean&nbsp;<strong>we can contribute to managing the number of Covid-19 cases in the country&nbsp;<\/strong>while also helping with restarting the economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent months, Okada Manila has also carried out webinars and distributed health kits. The company also <strong>provided grants to several different bodies<\/strong> in a bid to help fight against the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local media, the casino operator offered Covid-19 vaccinated guests discounts at its hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/manila-to-remain-under-general-community-quarantine-until-july-31\">Okada Manila<\/a>\u00a0is located at Entertainment City in Manila, which remains under general community quarantine (GCQ) until July 31. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sp-expects-philippines-economy-to-rebound-in-2022\">Casinos<\/a>\u00a0there\u00a0<strong>were allowed to resume operating\u00a0<\/strong>at a reduced capacity in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Okada Manila GGR down 49 per cent in second quarter of 2021<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okada-manila-ggr-down-49-in-q2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Okada Manila<\/a>&nbsp;reported<strong>&nbsp;gross gaming revenue (GGR) or PHP2.61bn (US$52.1m)<\/strong>&nbsp;for the second quarter. That\u2019s a fall of&nbsp;<strong>49 per cent&nbsp;<\/strong>from the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Universal Entertainment Corp<\/strong>, which operates the venue, said the casino remained affected by Covid-19 countermeasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company reported that\u00a0<strong>VIP table game GGR fell by 35.2 per cent\u00a0<\/strong>in the three months to June 30 while mass table game revenue declined by 38.9 per cent quarter-on-quarter to PHP526m.\u00a0<strong>Gaming machine revenues dropped by 69.6 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0to PH578m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adjusted segment EBITDA<\/strong>&nbsp;was negative&nbsp;<strong>PHP204m&nbsp;<\/strong>compared to a positive figure of PHP692m in the opening quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Okada Manila has announced it will start to offer free Covid-19 vaccines to its staff.
