India.-\u00a0Delta Corp\u2018s casinos\u00a0in Goa <\/strong>will remain\u00a0closed for at least another week<\/strong>\u00a0as authorities have announced the extension of current Covid-19 countermeasures. The casinos will remain closed until August 2<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company again said that it is unable to estimate the\u00a0potential losses<\/strong>\u00a0caused by the temporary closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The countermeasures were last up for\u00a0reconsideration on July 26<\/a>, and the\u00a0government has decided to extend them for at least a week<\/strong>. The Ministry of Health reported\u00a075 new Covid-19 cases<\/strong>\u00a0in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In May,\u00a0Delta Corp<\/a>\u00a0asked authorities for\u00a0a waiver on licence fees\u00a0<\/strong>due to the impact on its venues. It was able to reopen its venue in\u00a0Sikkim<\/a>\u00a0in the first week of July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Delta Corp\u00a0reported a\u00a0consolidated net loss of Rs28.93 crore<\/strong>\u00a0for the first quarter of the year. That compares to a profit of Rs57.77 crore in the previous quarter.
