Macau authorities have revised the health code requirements for mainland Chinese visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Macau.- The Macau government has announced\u00a0it will update its health code<\/strong>. Visitors from mainland China will have to provide new information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to local media reports,\u00a0the new health code will include information on vaccination status<\/strong> and whether people have previously contracted Covid-19.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Authorities said that Macau residents and mainland Chinese residents\u2019 vaccination dates\u00a0<\/strong>will be added to the updated health code, which is required for people who want to enter Macau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)<\/strong>\u00a0director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes reported that the number of visitor arrivals to Macau<\/a>\u00a0increased by several thousand last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fernandes said she believes Macau may see an average nightly hotel occupancy rate of between 70 per cent to 80 per cent<\/strong> during the summer holiday months<\/a> of July and August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The MGTO hopes for an\u00a0average daily rate of 30,000 visitors<\/strong>\u00a0during the summer holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
