The Covid-19 countermeasures in Goa have been extended for at least another week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

India.-\u00a0Delta Corp<\/a>‘s casino remain closed in Goa as the state extends Covid-19 countermeasures until at least July 26.\u00a0The casino has been closed since April 29<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The countermeasures were last up for reconsideration on July 19, but the government has decided to extend them for at least a week<\/strong>. The Ministry of Health reported\u00a0120 new Covid-19 cases<\/strong>\u00a0in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Corp said: \u201cDue to the surge in Covid-19 cases being witnessed in Goa, the Government of Goa inter-alia has extended the restrictions in the state till 26 July 2021.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAccordingly, the casinos operated by the company and its subsidiaries in Goa will remain closed during this period.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May,\u00a0the company<\/a>\u00a0asked authorities for\u00a0a waiver on licence fees\u00a0<\/strong>due to the impact on its venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Corp was able to reopen its venue in Sikkim<\/a> in the first week of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Corp reports net loss of Rs28.93 crore for Q1<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Delta Corp<\/a> has\u00a0reported a\u00a0consolidated net loss of Rs28.93 crore<\/strong>\u00a0for the first quarter of the year. That compares to a profit of Rs57.77 crore in the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Net sales declined 64.1 per cent from Rs211.34 crore to Rs75.87 crore<\/strong> when compared to the fourth quarter of last year, but were up 57 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company reported that net sales from the casino division were negative<\/strong> Rs34.55 crore while revenue from its online skill gaming division was Rs43.28 crore, up 9.7 per cent when compared to the previous quarter.
