Bernstein has said that Melco Resorts may do well in the third quarter of the year fueled by premium mass revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.-\u00a0Melco Resorts<\/strong>\u00a0stands to benefit strongly once Macau announces a travel bubble with Hong Kong<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bernstein Melco could be benefited by\u00a0a 20 to 25 per cent revenue\u00a0<\/strong>contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts stated: “Longer term, Melco\u2019s premium mass offerings <\/strong>will be further strengthened by the opening of The Studio City Phase Two in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Melco is\u00a0well-positioned to capitalise\u00a0<\/strong>on the Macau recovery with outsized premium mass strength, which is Melco\u2019s core strength.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melco Resorts & Entertainment<\/a>\u00a0continues to develop its\u00a0City of Dreams Mediterranean integrated resort\u00a0<\/strong>and is seeking to train employees by opening a dealer school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integrated resort is\u00a0expected to be launched in the summer of 2022<\/strong>. Melco expects it will create an estimated 4,000 jobs including approximately 2,500 permanent jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melco International Development<\/a>\u00a0reported a 65.6 per cent decrease in net revenues in the first half of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melco\u2019s revenues for the period were HK$7.68bn (US$990.8m).\u00a0Net losses after tax\u00a0<\/strong>amounted to HK$7.06bn (US$910.8m), while EBITDA was negative HK$890m (-US$114.8m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lawrence Ho<\/strong>, group chairman and CEO, said: \u201cDespite the pandemic-derived travel bans, restrictions and quarantine requirements have adversely affected the performance of gaming revenues, we are excited to see some early signs of returning to normal operations in our integrated resorts.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
