Grand Korea Leisure has announced it will temporarily close the Seven Luck Casino Millennium Seoul until tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has announced a snap-closure of its Seven Luck Casino Millennium in Seoul until 11am tomorrow (Wednesday). It closed at 4pm on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GKL said the \u201cpre-emptive measure\u201d aimed to avoid the spread of Covid-19 cases<\/strong> to protect the safety of customers and employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven Luck Seoul Gangnam<\/strong>\u00a0was closed from 3pm on Saturday until 11am on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After reporting\u00a01,275 new Covid-19 cases\u00a0<\/strong>in 24 hours last Thursday,\u00a0South Korea’s prime minister Kim Boo-kyum<\/strong>\u00a0increased social distancing levels<\/strong> until July 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health has recorded 1,100 new Covid-19 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GKL reports US$13.1m in sales for June<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0South Korean operator of foreigner-only casinos<\/a>\u00a0reported\u00a0that casino sales in June rose by 45.6 per cent\u00a0<\/strong>when compared to the previous month, up from US$9.2m to US$13.1m. Sales were up 18.7 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0when compared to 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table games sales reached KRW13.28bn, up 60.6 per cent when compared to May and 27 per cent when compared to last year.\u00a0Machine game sales\u00a0<\/strong>were weak during June, with a decline of 19.3 per cent month-on-month and 24 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first half of the year, GKL reported casino sales of KRW40.29m<\/strong>, down 69.7 per cent when compared to 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table games aggregate sales<\/strong> were down 71 per cent year-on-year to KKRW34.21bn.\u00a0Machine game<\/strong>\u00a0sales reached KRW6.08bn,\u00a0down 59.3 per cent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
