India.-\u00a0Delta Corp\u00a0<\/strong>has announced that it will resume operations in Sikkim after having temporarily suspended operations in the first week of May when authorities introduced a curfew\u00a0due to a surge in Covid-19 cases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Authorities in Sikkim<\/a> originally planned to\u00a0end the curfew on June 14<\/strong>\u00a0but the rate of infection remained high for most of the last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Delta Corp said: “The Government of\u00a0Sikkim has allowed reopening of the casinos<\/strong>\u00a0in the State subject to the safety norms being followed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Further the company and\/or its subsidiary operating the Casino in the state of Sikkim will resume its operations from July 06, 2021 and will follow all the safety norms laid down by the state <\/strong>in this regards.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Delta Corp’s casinos in Goa will remain closed until July 12 as\u00a0the number of Covid-19 cases remains high<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company added: \u201cWe are unable to estimate the quantum of potential losses on account of this temporary closure and the pandemic at this time-“<\/p>\n\n\n\n Casinos in Goa<\/a>\u00a0have been\u00a0closed since April 29<\/strong>.
