{"id":19806,"date":"2021-07-02T16:16:28","date_gmt":"2021-07-02T16:16:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=19806"},"modified":"2026-04-23T17:59:30","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T20:59:30","slug":"paradise-co-revenue-up-16-1-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/paradise-co-revenue-up-16-1-in-june","title":{"rendered":"Paradise Co revenue up 16.1% in June"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Paradise Co has shared its financial results for June, reporting a 6.1 per cent rise in casino revenue from the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>South Korea.- The casino operator<strong>\u00a0Paradise Co has reported that revenue for June was up 6.1 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0month-on-month from KRW13.88bn (US$12.5m) to KRW16.05bn (US$14.2m).\u00a0<strong>Revenue was also up 6.1 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June table revenue was up 16.6 per cent month-on-month and 14.6 per cent year-on-year to nearly\u00a0KRW13.90bn. <strong>Machine game revenue<\/strong>\u00a0reached almost KRW2.15bn, up 12.6 per cent from May and 26.8 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aggregate casino revenue during the first half of the year stands at KRW112.72bn, down 45.2 per cent from KRW205.80bn when compared to 2020. <strong>Table revenue is down 47.3 per cent\u00a0<\/strong>and machine game revenue 16.5 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of cash exchanged for chips by customers at the table in June rose 43.1 per cent month-on-month. In May,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/paradise-co-revenue-down-6-1-in-may\">revenue fell 6.1 per cent down<\/a>\u00a0when compared to April, mainly due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the first quarter of the year,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/paradise-co-posts-losses-of-us16-2m-for-q1\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paradise Co<\/a>&nbsp;revealed a&nbsp;<strong>loss of KRW18.2bn (US$16.2m)<\/strong>, compared to a net loss of KRW67.5bn during the last three months of 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paradise Co sales fell 7.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter<\/strong>&nbsp;to KRW96.6bn while<strong>&nbsp;casino sales came in at KRW96.6bn<\/strong>, down 31.1 per cent sequentially and 51.6 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paradise City to resume non-gaming attractions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/paradise-city-to-reopen-non-gaming-facilities-from-july\">Paradise City<\/a>, the Paradise Co venue in Incheon, expects to resume\u00a0<strong>non-gaming attractions this month after a year of closure.<\/strong>\u00a0It will reopen its spa and the indoor theme park, Wonderbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said: \u201c<strong>We will do our best to ensure safety&nbsp;<\/strong>and quarantine so that you can enjoy fun in Paradise City in the coming summer with confidence.
