{"id":19529,"date":"2021-06-28T14:06:15","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T14:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=19529"},"modified":"2026-04-23T18:09:50","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T21:09:50","slug":"nagacorp-share-award-scheme-delayed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-share-award-scheme-delayed","title":{"rendered":"NagaCorp share award scheme delayed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NagaCorp has announced it will defer its award shares to no later than December due to the voluntary temporary suspension of business in NagaWorld owing to Covid-19 concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Cambodia.- In February, casino operator and developer&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagacorp-announces-share-award-scheme\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NagaCorp<\/a>, which runs the&nbsp;<strong>NagaWorld&nbsp;<\/strong>complex in Cambodia, announced the award of nearly 19.23m shares to employees, including the firm\u2019s directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, the granting of those<strong>\u00a0award shares has been deferred to no later than December\u00a0<\/strong>due to the current Covid-19 situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NagaCorp said it had adopted the share award scheme to \u201ccontinue to attract skilled and experienced personnel, to&nbsp;<strong>incentivise them to remain with the group<\/strong>, and\/or to recognise their contribution to the group by providing them with the opportunity to obtain equity interests in the company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-nagaworld-closed-as-employees-test-positive-for-covid-19\">NagaWorld<\/a>\u00a0suspended operations in March\u00a0<strong>after 11 staff members tested positive for Covid-19<\/strong>.
